Happy (belated) Veteran's Day!

This Veteran's Day I was able to go to VMI (Virginia MIlitary Institute) to see parade.  I don't know all the terms or much about it really, but I do know that it was really awesome to see.

The school does this every Friday, I'm pretty sure, but they did it on Thursday since it was Veteran's Day.  It made me feel good to be there, like it was a good way to honor the country on Veteran's Day, especially since we don't ever really do anything to honor it.

This is the band company and it was really cool.  They played great music and it just sounded awesome.  Especially with those bagpipes in there.

They also did a 17 gun salute that practically rattled my brain inside my head.  My whole body and clothes felt the blow from each cannon as it went off.  It was awesome.

And it was really cool to have a bunch of real veterans and VMI alumni standing there around us.  I can't even imagine the sacrifices they went through, and I'm very grateful for their service.
