Painted Pots.

A few months ago I painted some clay pots to add a little extra "umph" to my tomato plants.  They turned out pretty well I think.  Just something fun to do to bring color into your life, although with a pink house you don't need to do much to do that...

I love the shapes and shadows made by the railings of the porch.

Yeah my tomatoes weren't all that successful over the summer, and they aren't planted in a container big enough to grow, but it was still fun to watch them grow from little seeds to this.  And some silly little birds ate the flowers that actually started growing a few weeks ago.  Darn birds.  I need to make a bird feeder for them.  There's this one bright red cardinal that flies around the window and lands on the fence outside.  I wonder what other kinds of feathery friends would come around with a neat little bird feeder.

I'll just have to grow some herbs in these pots for the kitchen next time.  I love me some fresh herbs. Mmm...
